The board of Central Pattana Co Ltd (CPN) resolved to purchase a total of 61,743 common shares of Kanruamkorn Co Ltd worth Bt683,266.65 from S.K. Garment Plc (SK). CPN said that the company will also pay back loans worth Bt54,830,168.43 for Kanruamkorn Co Ltd to SK. Kanruamkorn Co Ltd owns the land for commercial use with a paid-up registered capital of Bt1 million, divided into 100,000 shares at a Bt10 par. The criteria used in determining the remuneration is the assets (land) value that Kanruamkorn Co owns which has a book value of Bt407 million. CPN said that the purpose of the investment is to use the land of Kanruamkorn Co Ltd to develop in its property development business to use as the department store. The company expected the benefits from the acquisition in that it will have higher income from the business expansion.
