CENTRAL PATTANA PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED Report on the Year 2000 Preparation Plan Central Pattana Public Company Limited and Subsidiaries engage in management of shopping centers by providing retail space for rent and related services in those shopping centers. Its head office is located at 1693 Phaholyothin Road, Lardyao, Chatuchak, Bangkok, Telephone 937-1555, Fax. 937-1580. The Company would like to submit the fourth report on its preparation plan for the year 2000 crisis up to 30 April 1999, as follows :- I.Progress of Preparation and Problem-Solving of Y2K up to 30 April 1999 1. Progress of Software Problems Solving 1.1In-house developed applications on PC - Applications for food center have been completely examined and corrected since 31 August 1998 at total cost of Baht 30,000. - Additional application for car park system on PC, which has been implemented since 25 January 1999, is already complied with year 2000. 1.2 In-house developed applications on AS/400 As at 31 December 1998, all applications have been examined and corrected. The company is currently testing all programs on hardware with system date of year 2000 and expecting to complete within 31 May 1999. 1.3 Software-JDE on AS/400 As at 30 April 1999, 70% of the programs have been tested on hardware with system date of year 2000,no problems have been found. 2. Progress of Hardware Problems Solving 2.1 Personal Computer Hardware (PC) All new required PCs have been replaced with total cost of Baht 4,245,000. 2.2 Network System Equipment All required equipments have been installed with total cost of Baht 500,000. 3. Progress of Property Operational Systems Problems Solving The company finished the examination of Property Operational Systems on 30 March 1999. Only telephone control system of Pinklao project need to be updated.The said system has been already corrected,together with the installation of new equipment,since 15 April 1999 with total cost of Baht 68,000. Currently,all property operational systems are complied with Year 2000. II. Analysis and Managements Comment Approximately 95% of the action plans for the millennium problems solving have been implemented. The only remaining process is to test all programs on AS/400 with system date of year 2000 to ensure the correctness of the systems. This process is expected to be complete within May 1999. The cost incurred is about Baht 4.8 million, which is 68% of total budget. The total budget of Baht 7 million is approximately 0.2% of the Shareholders Equity as at 31 March 1999, which is insignificant to the business operation.
