Central Pattana Public Company Limited A Progress on SWAP issue with Deutsche Bank According to our previous announcement to SET on November 17,1999 that on September 30,1999 the company has other receivable amounted to Baht 449 million representing outstanding receivable from Deutsche Bank (such liability is due to an acquisition of Bankers Trust International PLC.by Deutsche Bank)for its failure to deliver the USD 30 million to us in accordance with the forward foreign exchange contracts due September 27,1999. Baht 449 million was calculated from the conversion of USD 30 million into Baht at the exchange rate at September 30,1999, net of the Thai Baht amount which we have to deliver to the bank in exchange at an average rate per contracts of Baht 25.80 to USD.The Bank denied the delivery and claimed that the company had to be responsible for the default of another forward foreign exchange contracts between the Bank and one of our related companies,(which we hold 15% of such related company's total issued shares).And the company was under negotiation with the Bank. We are pleased to inform that we have settled this case with Deutsche Bank and have completely received such amount of Baht 449 million plus compensation of Baht 7.65 million from Deutsche Bank.
